CAROL'S GALLERY

Welcome to my gallery, my name is Carol and I live in Leeton in Outback NSW, with my husband and our 6 children, who keep us both busy, as well as giving me endless scrapping opportunities. I also enjoy nearly all handcrafts, particularly sewing, smocking, and gardening.Just click on the thumbnails to see a larger picture, then click the back button on your browser to come back to this page.

Creatures Great and Small

My first ever page. The cardstock is Sally's Weeds and the font, flowers, dragonflies and ladybugs were a free insert from Scrapbooking Memories Magazine. The punchies came from internet friends who got me started in scrapbooking (Thanks Karyn and Faye!)

PARTY!!

These are some pictures of me at my cousin Coral-Lee's 21st, there weren't many taken, because none of use could hold the camera still after a few drinks! I did the punchart doll, and at the time thought it was pretty good *cringe*

It Must Be Love!

The story of our three weddings (to each other!). The second page I ever did, the cardstock is Keely's parchment in gold and the matting is done with Sally's reverse plaid in sage. The journalling is done with computer font on vellum and held on with silver heart and dot brads

Soulmates

My first frame page, created for our best friends, Ross and Karen. The cardstock is all from the Keely's oldtime combo, the font is computer generated and some heart punchies finish it off. I made up the journalling to suit Ross and Karen, I hope they like it!

Luna Park

These are of my daughters Stasia and Elyssia taken on a trip to Sydney in 2000 The paper is by Provocraft and the titles are MAMBI stickers

Mount Beauty

A very simple layout on quilted paper with paperpiced snowflakes. I could not find a suitable mat for the photos, so I didn't mat them at all.

Cake Time

Our son Douglas' 8th birthday. He picked out the paper and clown, the rest was a surprise. The baloons are hand drawn and have wire strings, the title is from an EK overall

Cake Time/2

All the paper piecings are from the 202 pattern book by Annie Lang and the paper is from a provocraft scrap pad. I won second prize in a layout contest with this double layout.

Birthday Girl

Anastasia's 14th birthday, she doesn't like having her picture taken. The frame and journalling box is a provocraft itty bitty scrap pad - highly recommended

SMILE!!

Another annie lang paper piecing pattern, I love them! its a plain cardstock and some punchies, doesn't get much easier than this :>

Jenolan Caves - 1998

What to do with some boring photos?? Make a mosaic page! Keely's cardstock for the background, Computer font on card from the Oz Crop Shop

Families

This is an 8x11 page that I made for xmas presents. There is embossed vellum over patterned paper between the torn sections and its stitched with stranded cotton.

Mardi Gras

Some of the many years that we have taken part in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. CM Stickers on a cardstock background, computer font, hand traced

Mardi Gras/2

More MardiGras pictures, I did this layout the day after my first CM Class, and I really really like it, its the only stickers I have used that look right.

Twinkle Twinkle

My eldest son Douglas. Torn paper is from provocraft mounted on plain cardstock and all pictures are matted in plain white. The fiber and star frame die cut were from swaps.

Little Star

The glitter around the edges of the journalling boxes was applied by hand, and the verse was scraplifted from an american magazine. The journalling is around the edge of each photo.

Down on the Farm

We used to own a holiday farm, before we moved to the Riverina. My first effort at paper tearing, I love the effect. Used a lot of punchies on this one!

Down on the Farm/2

how to fit five photos on a single page! Don't I have just the cutest son?

MMMMMmmm

Our very untraditional easter. This was the first year I convinced every one to dress up in bunny ears, and the 3kg chocolate bunny might have had something to do with it!

Chocolate!

The pictures are matted on plain yellow cardstock and HOTP paper, the paper piecing pattern is from the 202 pattern book andthe font was a computer one that I made bigger with a quilters wheel

Elliott

Picture taken with a digital camera in b&w, printed onto Vellum and coloured with zig photo pens, then matted onto mulberry. The verse is one that I wrote for his naming day

Grandparents

My first effort at teabag folding. The verse is from dmarie.com. I designed the folding paper myself using printshop so I could match the colours. I love this layout. The paper is from Hot off the Press sponged and crackled book

Girl Power

Another nice easy layout, torn cardstock matts, a chalked paper piecing and the title was done using a Creative Memories wavy ruler

Girl Power/2

Same matts, the paper doll is an adaptation from a design originals book with punches for pom poms. This layout won an online kids sport contest

April Showers

My first wire attempt, it was easier than I thought, just a little fiddly. The matt and corners are from a provocraft bitty scrap pad and the title is printed on Creative Memories water paper and matted. the leaves are freehand and the background paper is HOTP

Angel in My Garden

My first lumpy bumpy layout. The picture is digital, the accent squares feature paperpiecing drawn freehand, a lovely wire dragonfly by Lizzie Slouthouber in WA and an embossed vellum butterfly. The tie on the title box is raffia and held in place with a brad.

All Aboard

A trip to the local miniature train museum. The engineer is from a design Original cut out book, I did the titling with a computer font and a quilter's wheel

All Aboard/2

The wheels and rolling stock I designed myself, the paper is from a provocraft scrap pad
